Job Description

To launch and develop the analytics function based on Metabase connected to OLTP databases, with a future expansion towards a DWH, the BI Analyst will not only build dashboards but also identify insights, formulate hypotheses, and help the business make data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and alerts.
• Define and standardize business metrics, maintain a metrics dictionary.
• Optimize SQL queries and reduce load on data sources.
• Create views and materialized views for complex metrics.
• Manage data access permissions and configure role-based access in Metabase.
• Analyze data to identify insights, anomalies, and trends.
• Investigate causes of changes in key metrics and formulate hypotheses.
• Prepare visualizations, analytical materials, and presentations for management and teams.
• Collect business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.

Requirements

• Excellent SQL skills, including complex queries, optimization, window functions, and indexing.
• Experience with BI tools.
• Understanding of differences between OLTP and OLAP.
• Experience optimizing queries and reducing database load.
• Skills in creating views and materialized views.
• Ability to gather and formalize business requirements.
• Skills in documenting reports and metrics.
• Systematic approach and attention to detail.
• Experience preparing visual and written reports for senior management.
• English Upper-Intermediate.

Nice to have

• Python or R skills for additional data analysis.
• Skills in creating aggregated tables and automating their updates.
• Experience working with DWHs.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.
